Winter Season Fees: 

• Total $1,045/player
  • $345 Commitment Fee due at Team Placement
  • $700 Remainder can be paid in full, or through 5 monthly payments of $140

Fees are required to participate in all events and tryouts - payments are non-refundable.  A SportsEngine processing charge is added at the time of payment. 

Registration dates posted soon, in general they’re open a few weeks prior to an event.  Tryout registrations will close 5 days before tryouts, no exceptions to re-open after this time. 

WBLVC 2025-2026 Tryout information

Registration for tryouts is required. All registrations must be completed online.

- Registration fee to try out is $40.00, plus processing fees, paid online. Tryout fee is non-refundable.

- Tryouts are OPEN to out of district players.

- It is mandatory that all players try on a sample jersey and an adult/guardian sign-off on the size selected. There are no exchanges once ordered.

- While we do our best to place as many athletes as possible onto teams within our program, we are not able to assign all players to teams. 

-WBLVC has Tryout Absence Protocol in place for extenuating circumstances. 

Evaluations

Evaluations are conducted in alignment with the WBLVA Player Evaluation and Team Placement Policy, which is available for review by all members at the following link: https://www.whitebearvolleyball.org/boarddocs.

Practices

Teams practice twice per week (typically these slots occur Monday - Thursday between 6pm and 9pm) for 90 minutes at a White Bear Lake area school. Practices focus on building and refining the basic skills needed for all volleyball players, and progressing to developing advanced skills, rotations, and positional development, as appropriate based on individual and team readiness. Practices begin the first full week of December.

Competition

Competitions occur on the weekends, primarily in the Twin Cities metro area. Competitions may be comprised of a multi-day tournament format and others will be a single half-day playdate. We try our best to offer all teams one out of town tournament (within a 2-3 hour drive of the cities) so teammates and families can explore a new city, get to know each other better with a hotel stay, and have some good fun.
