2010 High School Tryouts: 

10th-12th grade times:

  • Monday, August 16 to Wednesday, August 18.  
  • 8am - 1:30pm with a 30 min. break in the middle.   (Tuesday time may start at 8:30am due to school registration.)
  • Tryout location is at WBL HS North Campus. 
  • For those who have made a team, practices will continue on from Thursday, August 19 through mid-October as well as matches and tournaments.

9th grade times:

  • Monday, August 16, 8:00am - 1:30pm at WBL HS North Campus with a 30 min. break in the middle.
  • Tuesday, August 17, 8:30am - 11:30am at Central Middle School.
  • Wednesday, August 18, 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Central Middle School.
  • Thursday, August 19, 8:00am-12:00pm at WBL HS North Campus
  • For those who have made a team, practices will continue on from Thursday, August 19 through mid-October as well as matches and a tournament.
  • A 9th grader maybe asked by coaching staff to come to the 10th - 12th grade tryout times on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Tryout Information for everyone:

  • In order to tryout, you MUST come on the first day with the registration receipt.  You can pick up registration forms at either North Campus or South Campus in the athletic office.  An updated physical must also be on file.  No paperwork is brought to tryouts, it should all go to the athletic offices.  ONLY RECEIPT IS BROUGHT TO TRYOUTS! 
  • Be sure to bring some food with you to tryouts!  Bring light food with you to eat at our break.  Some ideas:  sandwich, crackers, fruit, vegetables, gatorade/powerade 
  • Bring running shoes (separate from your indoor volleyball shoes).  We will be running an 8 minute mile.  Come prepared! 
  • Bring lots of water, a towel, a change of shirt and socks.
  • Be sure to eat a light breakfast each morning before you come to tryouts.  This is IMPORTANT!

Registration Information (from White Bear High School Website)

All participants in the 2010 - 2011 athletic program at White Bear Lake Area High School must be fully registered prior to any practice or tryout.  Registration forms are available in the athletic office at South Campus and through the main office at North Campus and both middle schools.  Registration forms are also available on the link below, but must be turned in at the North or South campus prior to tryouts.

Athletes must turn in the completed Athletic Eligibility Packet which includes the following:

    • Current Physical on File
    • MSHSL Annual Health Questionnaire (Form A)
    • MSHSL Athletic Eligibility Statement (Form B)
    • School District 624 Additional Eligibility Form (Form C)
    • Waiver of Insurance & Media Release (Form D)
    • Emergency Information (Form E)
    • Fee Payment
